Eczema. It's the worst. I'll be the first to admit that it's just plain old not fun. I've had it most of my life. Sometimes it's been super difficult and others it's been mild, but never gone. Doctors appointments, cream, salves, and lots and lots of advice from specialists saying that there's nothing that will ever really help me has been the general song. By now, I've accepted that there isn't much I could do to fix it...
Pretty Pokets vegan leather, designer diaper bags meet every need of the busy mom. As a mom of two little ones, I need my hands free and my mind at ease that my bag has everything I may need in it, ready to go, at all times.
As I sit here with my baby girl one thought comes to mind... HOW is she so big already?! Tears flowing. I have realized with this little baby being my second the real necessities needed to make my days a bit easier. I tend to ride the minimalism wave so for me there are just a few things I find extra helpful.
It was April 13th, 2017 and we were over the moon to go to our first 8 week appointment with the OB we had chosen, the one whom we had spent hours researching, making sure he was a good fit for us. We were excited, nervous, but mostly ecstatic that we were having another baby.
A little idea hit me a few weeks ago.. Why not go camping in Giant Forest and check off some bucket list items while we're at it? Technically it was a birthday trip for the whole fam.. we went to San Fran and Lake Tahoe last year. I'm hoping we keep this adventure birthday thing up for a while...
While eating fresh is a great place to start, staying away from processed foods as they are nutrient void is also hugely important. Avoiding genetically modified foods, gluten, refined sugar, soy and bad fats such as soy, canola, corn, cottonseed, etc.
Paleo/clean eating- the few words people sometimes use for an extreme way of healthy eating and living that can often feel very overwhelming. I have found a few things over the last few years that have made this whole clean eating thing so much easier on me.
Vaccines. It's that hot button that no one ever wants to touch. I get it. It can be the reason for people not treating each other with respect and dignity. It has the power to create friends and enemies. Please hear me when I say that I don't want to do any of that... I simply, as I always have, want to share our story, our journey. This is a bit long, but I hope to shed light on parts of this subject for some and learn a little more myself as I write this.
Anyone ever want to get nutrients into their kid, but not too sure how?? I've been there many, many times. Ren used to take each of these items off of the spoon until he realized they taste like dirt so now I've found a way to get all of these macro and micro nutrients in him and he actually enjoys it (insert jazz fingers).
Hey there! From the third trimester. Why do things seem to go much quicker with the second pregnancy!? I've been getting inquiries lately about different supplements out there and what I take prior too and during pregnancy. I love reading your emails!
My breastfeeding journey wasn't a walk in the park to say the least… I'm sure it's hard on most mommas with their first baby. It all started with our "unique" birth. I am learning to love our story more and more each day that passes by, but I'm sure that it played a small part in our not so easy breastfeeding journey.
I've been on a journey to health and wellness since 2012. Some of the things that I have worked very hard to reverse in my own body are chronic eczema, psoriasis and leaky gut syndrome. I remember so clearly how miserable I felt when I had to have my topical medications with me wherever I went...
